For the third year in a row the Club is planning a trip to Tasmania starting with a visit to Wynyard in the north west, to enjoy the Tulip Festival.Thereafter our journey takes us to Launceston, Bicheno, Hobart, Strahan and Sheffield. Apart from Wynyard and Hobart we will be staying two nights in each location, giving us a chance to recover from the journey and to allow us the opportunity to enjoy local sites in the surrounding regions. We stay longer in both Wynyard and Hobart as there is more to see and do.
The travel between the centres will follow stages in the Targa Tasmania where possible, which will hopefully take us to some of the prettier location on the island. We don't expect to rush around at breakneck pace as we wish to enjoy the scenery and will endeavour to limit the journey to 250 kilometres a day.
The trip starts from Sydney on the Tuesday 4th October, with members starting from different locations joining up in Melbourne to take the overnight ferry to Devonport on Thursday 6th, returning overnight Saturday 22nd.
